Model 103SN Narrow Strip Heater Winder
 

The Model 103S Strip Heater Winder can be built to almost any length. The machine above is 60 inches / 1.5 meters long. A typical mica strip is anchored at each end to synchronized spindles that simultaneously rotate. The wire guide carriage contains a follower that supports the mica precisely where the wire is placed. The followers rotation is synchronized to the spindle rotation. A programmable tensioner is used to provide accurate tension while winding. It is possible to wind very thin mica strips with this machine.
