Model 101 Micro Coil Winder

The new Model 101 is designed to wind micro coils used in medical imaging, navigation, RFID and other typical applications. This machine will tension and wind ultrafine wire onto miniature cores or mandrels. The wire can be as fine as 58 AWG (.00039 inch / .0099mm). Precision aligned spindles are used to grip the core or mandrel from both ends while rotated. A special closed loop tensioner is used to pay off the wire and maintain a constant tension while winding. A hot air torch is an integral part of the machine and used to heat bond the wire. A vision system is included to magnify the winding process.
